‘Stir fry Vegetables recipe’ – the name itself reveals the dynamics of the recipe. In a chill Winter night, I thought it would be best to get rid of Non veg meal for the dinner and explore something nice and easy for Dinner. Why not? I know most of the people would like to eat non veg especially different variations of meat such as Lamb, Pork, Beef etc. to fly away from the thunder. It is quite obvious that we can not include these heavy weight meats in our everyday dinner as they would take sumptuous time for digestion before we opt to sleep. So the best alternate option to keep your meal for Dinner healthy yet wholesome is Stir fry Vegetables of different color, taste and even of distinct separate origin.
The recipe Stir fry Vegetables take only a few minutes to prepare after you are done with selecting and cutting different vegetables. I opted to use Green beans, Cauliflower florets, onions, Broccoli florets, Red and Yellow Bell Peppers, Babycorns, Cabbage etc but you are free to choose almost any vegetable you like to eat. The main tactic lies in the gradual saute of vegetables and you are not really encouraged to add salt at the beginning or in the middle part of the saute. Instead salt should be added at the very last moment when you are about to take off the recipe from oven and toss all the veggies with salt and pepper. Local grocery stores especially the ones in New Market and Shopping Malls offer rare veggies like Broccoli, Bell Peepers etc. Eat these tossed vegetables with or without any Roti. Lettuce could be the wraps for the veggies though:) After all I bet Food lovers want to invest time thinking and experimenting with dishes in order to highlight them from others. However you are free to choose any other options such as fold the stir fry vegetables in pasta sheets, or in make chops mixing them together with flour or you can just eat them without thinking further. It is healthy and yummy anyway!
- 20 Cauliflower florets (medium)
- 12 Broccoli florets (medium)
- 50 gm Peas
- 8 Green beans (cut into small cylindrical pieces)
- 1 Carrot cut into small squared pieces
- 10 Babycorns cut into three pieces each
- 1 Julien Onion
- 4 Green Chilies chopped
- 2 tsps of Soya Sauce
- Salt to taste
- 1 and 1/2 tsp of Sugar
- 2 tbsp Garlic Chili Sauce
- 3 tbsp Healthy Sundrop Heart Oil ( Vegetable oil with Oryzanol)
- 1 red and 1 yellow Bell peppers chopped
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
Add oil into kadai and bring to to medium heat.
Add Onion pieces and stir util they turn into light golden brown pieces.
Add all vegetables and toss them gently till the oil gets coated on them generously. (It is better to add boiled Babycorn and Cauliflower in the recipe as that would save time)
Add Soya sauce and Garlic Chili Sauce and put the lid on for 5 minutes.
Open the lid and check if the vegetables are coated well with sauces and oil.
Add salt , pepper and toss everything well. Ready to eat Stir fry Vegetables with or without anything else really.
